Our Testimonials
“My family and I cannot say enough good things about Accel at Willow Bend. Our brother was admitted on the rehab side twice, once after an extended hospital stay and once after a fall at home. Both times he was well taken care of by the friendly, kind, and skilled staff. After the second time, he needed to be admitted to the long term care side, and we could have never navigated all the paperwork without the expert help of Patty Matlick, the Business Office Manager. Kudos also to Natasha Skolnik, Social Services Director, the ladies in the activities department, and each of the wonderful staff members who take care of our brother every day. He is happy and more engaged cognitively than we’ve seen in years. And he raves about the quality of the food and care he receives, as well as the friendliness of the staff. Every time we visit him, he introduces us to someone new, both residents and staff, and the staff always greet us in all our subsequent visits. If your loved one needs to be in a facility, Accel at Willow Bend is the place. We are eternally grateful to them for providing a quality of care we hadn’t thought possible for our brother. Thank you, Accel at Willow Bend!”

“My mother-in-law has been a resident at Accel for over five years. She has received the utmost of excellent healthcare and attention to cleanliness. The care floor staff and the medical staff are excellent in communicating whenever everything is not in sync, either in her health or her overall agitation she experiences some days. They are also very educated in the normal cognitive decline of aging seniors. In addition, we appreciate all of the various activities they provide to keep residents stimulated both physically and mentally. The activities also encourage socialization with other residents. We feel blessed to have this facility caring for our loving Mom.”

“This rehab has the most caring employees I have ever met. It starts with Andrew the director who bends over backwards to make my mother comfortable and then there is Jessica who helps me with my every day needs which there are a lot of them because my mom needs a lot of help with small things to big things every day it seems and she is there smiling ready to help me like a true professional. I have to mention Charity and Tamalie who have been the hardest working, kindest, and will do everything you need and more with the best attitude. I have so many favorites it’s hard to mention them all. Love this facility and I recommend it for your family member!!”

She wasn’t doing too good at the hospital but the first day she related to nurses; sat up in a chair; start eating It was not agitated at all! When I get there she was sleeping so peacefully. The nurse staff and the administrative staff was very friendly, the room and facility was very nice! She made great accomplishment on day one then she have for the past 39 days! “Our family has had our share of these places. I must say this place has been the best. It’s clean, people were amazing to my mom and after several weeks she got out today. They had a nice celebration for her. Very organized from the day she came in until her leaving today. I was really surprised to not see more great reviews on here for this one. Also on food… Most days she thought food was good to great. Sometimes not so good but overall I can’t say anything but good about this facility and all of the staff. Big thanks for taking care of mom who had 5 broken ribs, pneumonia and infection recovery. You all are great.”

“My mother was here for a little over a month for skilled nursing stroke recovery. She came here from another facility where her progress had stalled. My mother left Accel so much stronger. Our ambassadors were great communicators and even utilized FaceTime with us when we couldn’t get to the window or when we needed to help mom with extra encouragement. Front desk was always available to answer a call and/or direct me to the right person. Social work facilitated mom’s care including help for a dental issue that came up while she was there, helped us figure out what options to explore and advocated for her ongoing care. Therapy rocked the house. Nursing was tireless. Any hiccups (only a few) were resolved quickly and with great care. The staff never made us feel rushed on the phone and really listened to us. It is not an easy time to have a loved one go through a stroke in the middle of a pandemic. I feel very strong about this review being 5 stars because this all occurred pandemic style where we were not able to go inside to be with our mother so the care given to mom meant the world to us. The level of professionalism of each staff person is exemplary and the evidence of that is in mom’s recovery. The most amazing thing is that mom left this place stronger than when she arrived and is progressing towards her goals and doing more hours of rehab than ever before! We are thrilled. Thank you Accel! You all are heroes!!!”
